Principal's Message
Keep the Learning Happening All Summer Long.
Next Monday, May 11th, we will be giving away free summer workbooks to students in Kindergarten through Third Grade. We have used these workbooks before. We have heard good reports about students practicing the lessons with minimal adult guidance (there are stickers, flashcards, and certificates - inside). Students who complete the workbook by North Haven's National Night Out, End-of-July Celebration, will receive a prize from our table.
Keep the learning happening all summer long.
School closure has created a historic educational disruption to all of our American children. We are fully aware next school year will require major programming shifts. Our dream is all students maintain their current skills through practice and engagement if not expanding their understanding of Arts, Science, and Social Studies.
Your work now can make a difference in your child's future. Years ago a student's mother scheduled his winter break for math fact practice. When he returned he went from the lowest to highest math student and never looked back. Every time we meet at Fred Meyer, this mom continues to say it was no big deal as she shares the student's success stories. May we all be able to give our youth a leg-up in this world.
Be safe and Do Good Work, Be a Friend, Every Day.
