Year 3 - WEEK 7

Homecoming Parade was a HIT!

The Homecoming Parade was a HUGE HIT! Thank you so very much to everyone that participated, but especially to Kristin and Josh Jordan who for the third year have had a float for OUR GRAY HAWKS to ride on and to represent OUR SCHOOL!

In addition to the parade we had a lot of fun on OUR SPIRIT DAYS. The newest spirit day this year that was quite popular was DRESS LIKE A TEACHER DAY. Check out all of the great pictures from throughout the week.

GRAY HAWK NEURO-NEWS

Video series for Teachers and the Community

I have been working with Dr. Perry's Neurosequential Model in Education for nearly a year now. Dr. Perry is a leading expert in understanding the brain and ways to support both children and adults in understanding self-regulation and why we may respond to certain events in a certain way. I am sharing these videos with OUR STAFF but also believe it is crucial for OUR COMMUNITY to be able to access these as well. Unfortunately the videos are not able to be embedded into the NEST, so please click on the picture below and watch Episode 3 : Creating an Inclusive Classroom on YouTube.

Help Raise Funds by Volunteering at HS Concessions

Please check out the Sign Up Genius below if you are able to help out one day at the high school for the concession stand. It goes by very quickly and is a great community builder.

Working the concession at BLHS is so much fun!!! You take orders, make popcorn/hotdogs/nachos and keep things stocked. Very easy and simple but we can't do it without volunteers!

We will meet at the outside football concession stand at the high school.

Please call or text Abby Miller-Frecks at 913-238-5829 with any questions.

Right now we are looking for volunteers on Monday, September 18 and Monday, October 23. Thank you for your consideration.
