Alpha & Omega Roasting Company Jesus is interning at Alpha & Omega Coffee and Apostle Street Tacos. Jesus is setting up the new website for all 3 locations to take online viewers to the correct location and view the products they have at each separate location. Jesus has learned many new skill sets, including online marketing, resourcefulness, and media outreach. The next step is to partner with another SCC CAPS Intern and take product photography to update the website and Social Media. | St. Charles Convention CenterBrendon is an intern at the St. Charles Convention Center. He is learning about the operations focusing on what it takes to set up different events. Brendon enjoys the hands-on and experiential learning style where he can help setup different types of events. The internship experience has given him opportunities to improve his leadership skills through learning how to properly run a team of trained professionals to form a large event. | iStudio Pilates Luke and Matt are interning at iStudio Pilates in Cottleville. Luke has been helping with sales and promotions by going to businesses and promoting recent events and pitching Pilates. Matt has been in the process of writing blogs and personal training Luke to help his career. They've learned a lot about the process of trying to run a business by yourself and how to adapt to changes in the business to stay productive. The next phase of action for the interns is to help Ingrid with the Cottleville St. Patrick's Day parade to help promote iStudio Pilates. |

Brendon is an intern at the St. Charles Convention Center. He is learning about the operations focusing on what it takes to set up different events. Brendon enjoys the hands-on and experiential learning style where he can help setup different types of events. The internship experience has given him opportunities to improve his leadership skills through learning how to properly run a team of trained professionals to form a large event.
iStudio Pilates
Mid Rivers Newsmagazine Hunter is interning at Mid Rivers/West Newsmagazine in Chesterfield. He is currently working on his ability to write in a different formats as well as his ability to interview people needed for a story. So far through his internship he has learned how to edit and correct problems with stories and fix issues with photos in the news magazine's website. Hunter currently has two stories written for the paper and their Tour magazine. He hopes to write more in the 2nd half of his internship. | Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa Gabi is interning at Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa. She is helping plan events and advertise the business on different platforms. Gabi is learning more about how to prepare for big events and how to make professional posters. Her next step with Yuppy Puppy is to prepare for their upcoming events, such as the St. Patty's Day Parade and their Easter Egg hunt. | Embassy Suites-St. Charles Ryan is interning at Embassy Suites in St. Charles in the Food and Beverage department. The hotel is having Ryan work in all areas of the food and beverage industry. He is learning about making professional calls to other companies and researching human resource agencies. Next the hotel is having Ryan create spreadsheets for inspection dates for food & beverage equipment in the hotel. |

The Expert Realty CompanyAntonio is interning at The Expert Realty Company. He is currently working on a year-long Facebook marketing plan to increase engagement. He is also reading several books during the internship, which allows him to learn several new business tactics and strategies. For March, Antonio is presenting a redevelopment project to his supervisor, Rob Hussey. | Partners in Grime Cleaning CompanyNoel is interning at Partners In Grime Cleaning Company in Cottleville. She is currently working on marketing the business by making promotional items with the company logo. She has also made folders of information and gave them to home builders so they will use the business for the houses they build. Since Partners in Grime is a small business she has also been learning how to work on payroll. | Autotech Tire and Auto Center Will is an intern at Autotech Tire and Auto Center - an automotive repair shop in O’Fallon, Missouri. Will has been learning how to do payroll. He has also learned about other key fundamentals of the automotive industry, such as part orders, inventory, and the difference between worked and billed hours. Will has also been shadowing with the lead automotive technician and has been learning different processes and secrets of the trade to increase productivity and profitability. In the next few weeks, he will be working on doing revisions on the company’s website, as well as the search results on different search engines, such as Google or Safari. |

Autotech Tire and Auto Center
Bike Stop Cafe Madeline has an internship at Bike Stop Cafe on Main Street in St. Charles. She is currently working on updating Bike Stop Cafe’s Instagram and Facebook pages. An ongoing project has been creating a new recipe book at the cafe. Madeline has learned new marketing strategies and how to use Canva. She has also learned how someone in a small business wears many hats. For her next steps, she will be learning the accounting side of the business. | Perspective Global Media This semester Markus and Drew have the opportunity to work with former NFL player, Hakeem Valles. They work with his new startup media company called Perspective Global Media. As interns, they are work side by side with Hakeem and acquire many different skills, such as video editing, content creation, and social media management. The interns have worked to make different types of content including flyers, short videos for social media, and beginning a new show called Keem's Questions. In the future the interns are looking forward to helping the company grow, learning new skills, and mastering the various skills they have learned. | LTS Auto Service Grant wants to own his own automotive facility someday. To help with that he secured his internship at LTS Auto Service Center. He is learning important budgeting skills and the importance of always improving your shop. In addition, he has learned how price out and stay below budget on a projects. Along with working alongside as a team member, he has experienced first hand how much of a difference a couple days of hard work can do in the business. |
