Four weeks left of school!

North Side Families,

We have four weeks left of school. Please remind your child(ren) that we are still learning material and it is their job to continue working hard up until the very end!

Most of our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders finished taking the ILEARN state assessments last week. We will be doing some make-up testing this week. Thank you for your support in keeping students and devices in school during this time!

All students will be taking their end of year assessments this month, these include NWEA, the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark reading assessment and the iReady math assessment. These assessments are important to both teachers and myself as they are the information that truly shows us your child's growth this school year.

Please look at the important dates at the bottom of this newsletter for things such as, field day, last day of school, etc.....

It has been a school year of uncertainty and change, but I want to say THANK YOU for working alongside us and helping us to make it a great year considering the changes we had to make to keep everyone healthy and safe through the pandemic! We could not have stayed open and continued to teach your children in person without your help! We appreciate you!!!

Please reach out if you have questions regarding end of year testing, the last month of school, summer school, registration for next school year or anything else. Our office number is (260) 347-1354 and my e-mail is

Yours in education,

Stephanie Leasure

We have four weeks left of school! Let's finish the month of May out strong and keep the children in school every day and on time! Monday, the bell rings at 8:45, this means students should be sitting in their seat in the classroom. On Tuesday through Friday, the bell rings at 8:00, the students again, should be sitting in their seat at this time. Please help teach your child(ren) the importance of being on time!

We continue to practice our safety drills to ensure that students and staff know what to do in case of an emergency. Our fire drill this past week went very smoothly! Students are doing a great job and take the drills seriously. We are very proud of them!

Please contact me if you ever have any questions on the drills we practice or how we are keeping your child safe in our school environment during Covid-19 protocols. The school number is (260) 347-1354 and my e-mail is

DEVICE CARE FOR ALL - Let's finish strong!!!!

Please remind your child(ren) to charge their devices each night so they are fully charged for school. It is important that devices are at school each day as they use them in the classroom setting.

We appreciate your help with this!

Students in grades 3-5 will continue receiving counseling lessons in Sources of Strength. This will help to increase youth-adult connectedness, increase peer leaders in the school setting and increase acceptability to receiving help for those youth needing to seek help.

Grades K-2 will be provided with counseling lessons based on the needs of their particular classroom.

Please reach out if you have any questions or need support or help with social and emotional supports for your child. My e-mail is or you can all the school at (260) 347-1354.
