Dolphin Digest
June 2023 Newsletter
From the Principal
Dear Springfield Plains Families,
As the school year winds down, it is time to celebrate our children and their accomplishments. It is time to celebrate their growth as individuals. Next week your children will bring their tools, materials and artifacts (some digital, some tangible) home for the final time this year; their story for the school year will be complete. Honor them with your time. They have accomplished and completed something you and I never have. Not only did our kids grow and move forward, they did so during a pandemic with inconsistencies between in person and distance learning, quarantine and isolation. I am proud of all of our dolphins and impressed with their resiliency.
So today when you get home with your child (or children) from the bus stop, the parent pick up line, Kids Connection or even the next opportunity you have to see them - smile at them and give them a big hug. Tell them that you are proud of them for the opportunities they have participated in and the journey they have taken.
It’s time to celebrate!
Matthew Gifford, Principal
