9/12/2021 - Learning the Data

Hello Families!

We have many important pieces of information this week. Please read through this newsletter from top to bottom! Please follow us on InstaGram for important announcements and reminders @aplusartsacademy Arts Academy Jr. High

Masks - It is becoming necessary that all scholars bring their own mask to school. We have some for EMERGENCY only purposes but are running low. We want to make sure your scholars are kept healthy and safe. Please remind your child that the masks must be up over their mouth and nose.

Water Bottles - It is going to be hot the next couple of days. Please have your child bring their own water bottle to school that they can refill.

Parent Teacher Conferences - Conferences will take place on Thursday from 2:30pm- 5:00pm as well as Friday from 7:30am - 1:00pm. The conferences will take place outside in the parking lot (weather permitting) due to COVID regulations. Your scholar's interims will be given out at conferences as well as their MAP testing data, if you haven't received this already. There will be a ZOOM option for conferences, more information will be sent through our all-call system.

After-School Program - Many of you have asked when this will begin!?! Monday, October 4th! If you are interested in your scholar attending the after-school program, please fill out the interest form in the following link: https://www.summeradvantage.org/ohio (See image below for more details)

Kickboard - Kickboard is an online Positive Behavioral Support System that is used to monitor scholar behavior with the intent to reward scholars for proper behavior in all school environments. Scholars will be able to earn "scholar dollars" through the system and eventually purchase incentives based on the money they earned. The system allows us to print out behavior data on each scholar and easily share this with you as families. We will be starting this consistently on Monday, September 14th. When scholars have enough money they will be able to make purchases on Fridays of each week.

Important Dates:

September 7th @ 6:00 PM - STEPP Advisory Parent Meeting

September 15th - Interim Grades Due

September 16th - Parent Teacher Conferences - 2:30 - 5:00pm

Your scholar may bring a refillable water bottle to school as we now have COVID safe, touchless drinking fountains.

As much as we would like to help you with every need, the best way for you to get the information you need is to call 614-365-5074.
