THE LION'S ROAR!
August 11, 2023
FROM OUR PRIDE LEADER
Dear Norris Lion Community,
We had a great week at Norris, kicking off the holiday season and the season of Winter Assessments at Norris! We are seeing AMAZING growth in our students in Reading and Math on the MAP assessment so far! Please continue to encourage your student to show their best effort on this test, and to try their hardest. Our teachers use the data from this test to create meaningful lesson plans, to form their small groups, and to guide the learning for the class.
Students are working toward a Movie, Pajama, and Popcorn party for working toward our whole school goal of 6,000 points of growth!
We are halfway there- our current total for growth points is 3,051!
As a reminder, I will be out on Maternity Leave from December 18th-March 11th. Please reach out to our Interim Principals, Melissa Croom and Greg Wunderlich, with any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to one more fun filled week with students and staff before I have my baby girl!
Have a great weekend, Norris Lions!
