Penguin Patch Holiday Shop
Dear Families,
Penguin Patch Holiday Shop is coming to our school! Students will be able to shop during this week on December 8th and 9th. Students will get the chance to preview the store the afternoon of Dec. 7th. We are excited for your child to participate in an educational, fun and exciting experience.
Community volunteers and staff will assist children while shopping to allow them to purchase surprise gifts for loved ones. The shop will offer over 100 different gifts that can be purchased for as little as $.25 and up to $12.00 each. The Holiday Shop is a fun, unique way to empower your children with generosity!
Your child will be coming home with a Gift List Budget Envelope. If you choose, please complete and return (with cash or check) to school on Dec. 8th and/or Dec. 9th. Each classroom has a scheduled time on Thurs. and Fri. to shop in the store. All checks should be payable to McClure Elementary PTO.

Cold Weather Season
- Please be sure to send your student with a coat each day & dressed for the weather
- It is recommended that you write your child's name in their coats/sweatshirt/jackets so they can be easily returned if lost
- Encourage your student to look at the lost and found if they are missing items
- We will go outside for recess if the temperature and wind chill is 20 degrees and higher
- If your student is in need of a coat, please complete the Student Needs form below
Dismissal Reminders
If you need to pick up your child early you need to do so PRIOR to 3:30. After 3:30pm, we will NOT call your students up to dismiss from the office, you will need to join the car line and pick up from there. Students move to their dismissal locations beginning at 3:30, so it is sometimes difficult to quickly locate and retrieve a student during this time.
If you need to change your child's dismissal routine for the day, please notify the office by 3:00pm so we have time to communicate that with the classroom teacher.
We appreciate your help with our dismissal procedures!
