A Message From the Teachers

We are so proud of all the students' hard work during STAAR!

Our third grade wax museum is Wednesday, May 17, at 8:00 am in your child's classroom. Please make sure your child arrives to school in costume that day, and please send a change of clothes with your child!

Enjoy your three day weekend!

A peek at next week:

Math: Our "Step Up to 4th Grade" unit will continue with a focus on identifying points, lines, line segments, rays, angles, and perpendicular and parallel lines.

Reading: Students will practice reading independently for a sustained period of time and paraphrase what the reading was about, maintaining meaning and logical order.

Writing: Students will write persuasive texts to influence the attitudes or actions of a specific audience on specific issues.

Science: We will explore how structures and functions of animals allow them to survive in a particular environment.

Social Studies: Students will continue to prepare for the living wax museum on Wednesday.
