West Side Smoke Signals
If you have not completed the Title l Parent Survey, you still have time. Please use the link below. Many parents have asked in what ways they can help. The survey is a big help but taking the time to read to your student every night and assisting your student with homework will greatly help as well. Also, thank you for your hard work in getting your student to school on time and missing very few days. This time of year is referred to as "Crunch Time". We have GA Milestones Testing around the corner so instructional time is so important. We are doing everything we can to keep disruptions and time missed to a minimum. Thank you for making West Side great! We are excited to see just how much our students have grown this year and celebrate their success.
Title I Tidbits
West Side believes that parent and family engagement means the participation of parents in regular two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities. Our school hosts regular meetings throughout the year to facilitate this process. In addition to these meetings, parents have the right to request additional meetings and workshops they feel will benefit their child. The Parent Involvement Coordinator will take requests to the administration to see how these requests can be incorporated into the school’s Plan of Action.
Also, parents can request a meeting with their child’s teacher or the administration if they have questions or concerns about their child. Parents can call the school at (706) 866-9211 or email the teacher via the school website
