End-of-Year Reminders
*Thank you for arranging for your supervision duty to be covered when you know you are going to be out of the building. This helps keep our students supervised and our building safe.
*ACTIVE monitoring is the best way to be proactive when on duty. Students need to know you are moving about and are aware of everyone in your supervision area. Please remind students to throw away their trash if you monitor the breakfast area or cafeteria.
*Frustrated? Take a deep breath! Wait a while to send that e-mail or have someone look at it to check for tone. Pick up the phone, if a conversation is going to be more than a couple of sentences. Think about how your conversation is going to come across to a student or an adult. LISTEN to your students. You never know what they are dealing with before they arrive each day.
