INtelligrants! The long-awaited, highly anticipated debut of the updated system that will assist with the planning and streamlining of Title I, II, III, IV, and RLIS funding is now making its way into our reality. We have begun the process of creating short technical assistance support videos to highlight the advantages of INtelligrants as well as our new Pre-Application process. All videos will all be packed full of valuable information, and they will all be under 5 minutes! Our first video has been released and can be found on our newly created INtelligrants webpage. Stop on by and check it all out!
Spotlight
This section will be reserved to highlight awesome programming happening around the state! Please send me the amazing things you are doing with your Title IV funding so I can highlight all of your efforts here. Here's our first spotlight!
Avon Community School Corporation
Last year Avon started a robotics team utilizing Title IV funding. This year they are taking it above and beyond by not only focusing on including our young girls on an all-girl robotics team, but directly relating and emphasizing social, emotional, and behavioral wellness through building resiliency through robotics! How amazing is that! I had chills as I was reviewing their grant and am so excited to see that bridge being built in education between SEL and STEAM or I guess we could say STREAM here.
Don't forget to email me the wonderful things your schools are doing at lbohlen@doe.in.gov! I can't wait to hear from you! It is truly my favorite part of my job :).
Don't Forget!
The upcoming U.S. Census will determine the federal funding Indiana schools receive. The census impacts academic support, special education, school lunch, and Head Start/early learning programs. The Department has created a website resource for superintendents, teachers, and families.
