Dear Muskego Lakes Families,
During the week of May 2-6, we will thank and recognize our excellent teachers and staff for everything they do to make Muskego Lakes the fantastic place it is! We are incredibly fortunate to have such an innovative, engaging, student-centered, and committed group of individuals working daily to ensure that your student is learning, growing, and succeeding!
We invite you to join us and our PTO in celebrating the staff next week and recognizing their hard work. Please consider reaching out to let a teacher on staff know the impact they have had by sending an email or note or encouraging your child to do the same!

Grade 8 Celebration Photo Slideshow Information
The Graduation Planning Committee wants to get things started so that we can put together something extra memorable for our children as we close the chapter on Muskego Lakes Middle School. We want to include EVERY classmate in the slide show. If you could please help us out with a couple of items:
**We do understand that some parents may not want their child in the slide show and may have signed a waiver at the beginning of the school year to not have pictures or video taken of their child. If you DO NOT want your child in the slide show please send an email to MLMSClassof2026@gmail.com and we will abide by your wishes. We are using the email you send as your waiver.
PICTURES NEEDED:
If you have any pictures from school related activities, sports, field trips of their middle school years, please send the pictures, with your child’s name and the names of any others included in the photo, to our celebration email: MLMSclassof2026@gmail.com and please send no more than 10 pictures.
We reserve the right not to use all photos that are sent in, depending on how the project develops. All photos need to be submitted no later than Saturday, April 30. I will be taking pictures in the homerooms. All 8 th graders will be included in the slideshow, unless otherwise communicated.
**NOTE: If your child did not attend MLMS for 5 th -7 th grades, send pictures from their
prior school activities. Also, please send a separate email if your child did not attend
MLMS in 5 th grade.
Please reach out to Melinda Felts with any questions at MLMSclassof2026@gmail.com

Mid-Week Munchies for Staff at MLMS
Speak Up, Speak Out Wisconsin
Our staff at Muskego Lakes take threats seriously. We are grateful for our partnership with students and parents as they continue to be invested in their school culture as we all work together to keep our schools safe. We encourage all families to talk about how a child should respond to any threat or concern, regardless of the source or legitimacy. If a student or parent is not comfortable going directly to a district staff member, they can use Wisconsin's Speak Up, Speak Out that will notify a school administrator and/or police authorities immediately. Speak Up, Speak Out! Speak Up, Speak Out is managed by the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of School Safety.
You may make a report by visiting the website, using your smartphone by downloading the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT app from the Apple Store and Google Play, or by calling 1-800-MY-SUSO-1 to speak to a resource center analyst.
