Vista Kids Happenings
Updates and Information for our Vista Kids at VRUMC
This Coming Sunday...
Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.- Vista Kids and United 345 are completing their month long look at Jesus' family with the story of Jesus welcoming the children (Matthew 19:13-15). While this story is familiar, it's very relatable for children as they are used to being told not to do something. When the disciples discouraged the parents, they weren't being mean, just acting consistently with norms and expectations at the time. Jesus made it clear that God's love was and is for everyone and there are no "non-persons" in God's kingdom! "A voice form heaven said, "This is my Son whom I dearly love; I find happiness in him." (Matthew 3:17)
Children's Church- Join us as we learn how our God is the God of second chances and Grace through the story of Jonah!
Vista Kids Club and United 345 from 4-6p.m.- Don't miss GLOW NIGHT as both our Vista Kids Club and United 345 will participate in some fun glow activities and games! Vista Kids Club will work on the Bible Black Belt White Belt while exploring Psalm 119:105 and our United 345ers will be exploring the Who? (Author and Audience) of the bible.
Bible Camp Recap!
Building Life-Giving Relationships: 3rd Grader Kaylee Stoner-Davis
We’re so proud of how our United 345 group (3rd-5th graders) has bonded during the past few weeks through the personalizing of their new portable space and adventures together. One element that has continued to be a conversation piece is their United 345 taco shirts (You wanna taco ‘bout Jesus. Lettuce pray.)
Following is a story from the mom of Kaylee Stoner-Davis, one of our third graders. Kaylee received her new Bible and attended Camp Bible at Bridgeport this past weekend.
Kaylee was playing outside with the neighbors … she straightened her shirt out, walks up to her friend’s dad and with a little sass in her voice … “you wanna taco ‘bout Jesus? Lettuce pray because I went to Bible Camp this weekend!”
It's awesome to watch even our youngest members share their faith with others!
