At Your Service
How may I serve you?
Lifelong Habit
In a nutshell, we can use this as an exit slip EVERY DAY! AND it takes only 30 SECONDS. At the end of the class, the last 30 seconds to be precise, ask students to write down the most important points. No more than 30, no less than 30. Imagine the information we could gather from this simple, short exercise. Plus imagine how much thinking the kids will be doing! Talk about self regulated students!
Of course it will take time to teach kids how to do it, we'll need to model for them and give them many, many, many opportunities to practice.
I would be happy to help you do this in your classroom.
We could even do a "action research" with this!

Explanation of Student Centered Coaching
Here's One for You!
You might find this blog from Edutopia interesting! The author mentions how some kids think writing on social media is not real writing. The author, however, proposed:
Their writing is real writing because their writing is their voice.
