When a student (ages 5-18) is absent from school, a written explanation of each absence is required from the parent/guardian within 10 school days of the student's return. Notes received after this deadline may be considered by the principal.

Water Bottles

All students are permitted to have a refillable water bottle in the classroom. We are fortunate to have numerous filtered bottle fillers on both floors of the new building. Students are not permitted to have soft drinks, juice, tea, colored drinks, etc. in the classroom. This eliminates stains on our new floors and additional work for our hardworking custodians when these items are spilled.

After School Online Tutoring Available for Students

Caroline County Public Schools partners with an online provider to offer after school tutoring to students. Students receive tutoring in Math, Reading and Language Arts using an online program called Exact Path, which is offered through Edmentum.

Parents interested in learning more about the program and whether it would be a good fit for their child are encouraged to contact Elizabeth Anthony (, Karin Miller ( or email or email
