THE WEEK AHEAD
See You at the Supper Club!
Come on out for lunch or dinner--or both! Be sure to bring your voucher, which was in last Sunday's church bulletin, came home in this week's Thursday Envelope, and may be printed from our website. We raised $214.12 at our Five Guys Supper Club in September--let's see if we can top that! Like and share the Buona invitation from our Facebook page.
Candy ContestMONDAY, OCTOBER 22 - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26 Our classrooms are collecting bags of individually wrapped candy for distribution at Trunk or Treat! Welcome Back Mrs. Rivas!
Tiny Roughriders Halloween Party!
Skating Party
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. It's nearly time for our next skating party at the Lynwood Sport Center! 8th grade parents are on tap for supervising along with teachers for this one. Each grade needs to supply 5-6 adults to help with supervision on their assigned evening. Several grades are close to being fully staffed, but 8th grade is in need of several more volunteers. If you are already going to be there, this is a quick way to knock out THREE volunteer hours at once (SIX if you are a couple)! SignUp links are as follows:
October 25: Hosted by 8th Grade Parents
January 31: Hosted by 7th Grade Parents
March 7: Hosted by 6th Grade Parents
May 9: Hosted by 5th Grade Parents
Kids of all ages are invited; there are accommodations for even the youngest skaters. Admission is $6, and skate rentals are $2.50 ("walkers" on wheels are available for $4 rental fee). Parents/guardians are not required to skate.
Every student does need to be accompanied by a responsible adult who will remain on the premises for the duration of the event. This means that if you are unable to stay, another adult (18 or over) must be willing to take responsibility for your child in your absence--no unattended drop-offs will be allowed at any grade level. As our school parents are now sharing some of the supervisory responsibility with the teachers, this measure is designed to help keep everyone safe. Thank you for understanding!
Pancake Breakfast Bake Sale N.U.T. Cards
We need your yummy Halloween treats for the Bake Sale at the Pancake Breakfast! Please send in home-baked goodies to school with your children on Friday, October 26. You can also drop off your contributions to the Parish Office until 3:00 p.m. that day, or bring them with you to the breakfast on Saturday morning. All families who send in baked goods will earn N.U.T. Cards (No Uniform Today) for each of their children for a future dress down day.
Holy Fire
Trunk or Treat is Coming!

Save the Date: Saturday, November 17
Keep on Clipping!
Our next Box Tops for Education challenge is underway! This time, we are looking for the class that has the highest percentage of participation--that means if EVERYONE in one class sends something in, they well have 100% participation. This time, it's all about the teamwork! The class with the highest percentage of students handing in Box Tops by Friday, November 16 will win an Ice Cream Social to take place on Tuesday, November 20, right before Thanksgiving Break. Start clipping, and ask your friends and relatives to save Box Tops for you, too! The Halloween-themed collection sheet is available on our website. You can even send them in in a baggie--simply write the count and your child's name and grade on the outside of the bag.
