A note from your principal...
Thank you for coming to our Meet the Teacher night this past week! It was incredible to see all of our sweet families in our school once again. You have no idea how oddly quiet a school can be without the sounds of happy children echoing through the halls.
Although we have had an extremely hot summer, I hope you made lasting memories with your children. As their principal, I also hope they took time to read this summer!
In June I was honored to be invited to Harvard University to facilitate one of their summer learning institutes from the Graduate School of Education. The institute, School Turnaround Leadership, is offered each summer to school leaders from around the world. It's an amazing time to learn from the best in the world, while guiding and supporting school leaders with common struggles. I believe working at Harvard is my way of showing the staff that, I too, am always pushing myself out of my comfort zone, stretching, and growing. It's also my happy place!
Thank you for trusting us with your precious children another year. We are all committed to forming healthy, trusting relationships while helping each child reach their potential.
I look forward to meeting all of our new families! Please take a moment to introduce yourself to me. My goal is to partner with you to raise highly successful children.

Meet the administrative team
Our new assistant principal is Megan Parker. This is her seventeenth year in education. During her years of service, she served as an elementary classroom teacher and a diagnostician. In 2016, she made the move to Tomball ISD as a Program Specialist for Assessment and Instruction. Most recently, she served as the Director of the Early Excellence Academy. We are happy to welcome her to Wildwood!
Our counselor is Lauren Heinrich. Lauren started her journey in 2009 as a second grade teacher. Over the past 13 years she has taught kindergarten through second grade. Mrs. Heinrich has been in Tomball ISD at Wildwood Elementary for the last 5 years. Last year was her first year as a school counselor. Moving into year two, she looks forward to continuing to build relationships with all of our students, families, and staff.
Parents this week
Due to safety in our car rider line, we will not have a photo opportunity outside the building. Thank you for staying in your car for the car rider line.
Car Rider Reminders
All car riders will need a new tag for this school year. The tags from last year will need to be turned in to the school and a new tag and number will be issued. If you do not have a car rider tag yet, please come prior to the end of school and pick one up.
If you are unable to pick up a new tag prior to dismissal, please plan on parking and coming into our front office to pick one up on the first day your child is a car rider. The tags from prior years will not be used this year, as new numbers will be given.
When our new tags were delivered, only one tag per number was in our box. When the additional tags arrive at school, we will send them home with your child in their backpack.
As a reminder, cell phones should not be in use in the car rider line. Our goal is to keep all students and staff safe. Please help us reach our goal.
The school zone times are presently incorrect on the signage. The appropriate people are aware and are working diligently to update our signage. I am also working to have a flashing yellow sign installed to increase safety. I will keep you updated.
Lunch time
Lunch is a part of the instructional day, and each lunch lasts 30 minutes. As a fast-growth District with limited space in the cafeteria, it is important for us to establish our procedures and lunch expectations with the students during the first weeks of school.
Parents are welcome to come have lunch with their child(ren) starting on Monday, September 26th. We will continue our procedure of dividing the alphabet and days of the week to allow ample space for parents to sit with their child(ren).
Parents of students with August and September birthdays are permitted to have lunch with their child(ren) on the day of their birthday while lunch visitors are paused to start the year.
