HIGH SCHOOL EXAM SCHEDULE
(GRADES 9 - 12) PARENT'S PLEASE READ COMPLETELY
EXAM SCHEDULE – JANUARY 2018
1. One exam will be written each day. Grade 9-12 students will be dismissed at the end of the exams. Please see the Achievement Test and Diploma Exam schedule attached to this memo. There will be regular classes for Middle School as they do not write exams in January.
2. The last day for all single semester courses is Wednesday, January 24.
3. The schedule for students in grades 9-11 will be as follows:
8:10 – 8:55 Homeroom/silent reading/study time
9:00 – 11:00 Exam: written in the classroom of the subject teacher (gr. 10 French and gr. 10 Spanish written in the Auditorium)
11:00 Dismissal
4. Students in grade 9 who do not have an exam will be going to class if they have a full-year course scheduled. For example: Grade 9 ELA, Math, PE and Religion. The schedule will be as follows:
8:10 – 8:55 Homeroom/silent reading/study time
9:00 – 11:00 Regular class – For Example: Math 9 and Religion 9 will split the time evenly. One will run from 9:00 – 9:58 then switch from 10:04 – 11:00 -- Students need to be very quiet while changing classes. There will be no bells to indicate when to move.
11:00 Dismissal
5. Grade 12 students will be dismissed following their diploma exams. Grade 12 students who do not have an exam on January 25, 26, 29 or 30 need only attend school if they are receiving extra help as arranged by the teacher.
6. Students who miss an exam must have a doctor’s note in order to make up the exam. It will be determined by the administration if you will be permitted to write the exam.
7. Students may not bring anything but pen/pencil (or other materials deemed necessary by the teacher) into the examination room (classroom). Teachers will ask students to put wrist watches and cell phones at the front of the room.
8. Any student caught with a cell phone during the exam will receive a ZERO.
9. Students should try to use the whole exam time. Students will not be allowed to leave the exam before the end of the allocated time.
10. Any student caught cheating, talking to another student, making eye contact with another student, or looking around the room to make eye contact will receive a zero for the exam.
11. All FINAL EXAMS will be written in Classrooms, except for Diploma exams (Science Lab) and the Social Studies 9 Achievement Test (Media Lab).
12. Students must turn in their textbooks prior to writing their exams. This is extremely important. No textbook/No exam.

Thursday, January 25: 9:00 – 11:00 am- Social Studies 9 PAT in Media Lab B
Notes: January Achievement Tests will be written online. Students must arrive at the media lab on time. Achievement Tests will be supervised by the subject teacher. Students who arrive more than one hour after an Achievement Test has started will NOT be allowed to write the examination. Students must sit in their assigned seat. Students may not bring prohibited materials into the examination room. This includes headsets, digital audio players, cell phones, pagers or other electronic devices. Students should be familiar with additional examination rules that are found in the Achievement Test General Information Bulletin which can be accessed at:

Notes: On the days when students are writing Diploma Exams they are to arrive at school no later than 9:45 am and proceed directly to the exam room. They will be dismissed for the remainder of the day following the exam.
