Kid Talk Assessments

It is critical that you go ahead and start Kid Talk assessments now. There are DDAs, SPGs and GMAS to administer this year and it will have an impact on grades 1-5. With all of those assessments on the calendar, there is no time to wait on Kid Talk data collection. We have not ever had this much to administer after spring break so it is important that time is planned for to complete all of the kid talk assessments.

Please go ahead and start administering now and plan to continue the week after spring break. Otherwise time will run out before you need the data. You might consider starting with exemplars and Big 20s and those that you can do as a class first to get them completed.

Bruster's Blue Ice

Bruster's Blue Ice will be on sale during lunch in the cafe. Please remind students and parents.

DDA Test Scores

All students who have taken a DDA have had their scores scanned and are available for you to see in SchoolNet. Directions for accessing SchoolNet (Assessment icon in the portal) can be found here. More handouts and specific directions to print are located here in the Assessment --> SchoolNet section of "Content." Don't forget about the GRADE CONVERSION CHARTS. They can also be found in Content-->Assessment-->Schoolnet-->DDA_3rd_9Weeks. Don't forget to enter your grades in your "3rd Quarter" gradebook, not your 4th Quarter.

Area Board Meeting

The Area 1 Board meeting will be held on April 2 at Dacula High School at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 6:30. Please feel free to join us at the meeting.

EOY Checklists

The Harbins EOY checklist will be placed in your mailbox this week. Please go ahead and take a peek so you can plan ahead. If you follow the checklist step by step, you will know everything you need for the end of the year. Put it in a safe place so you will know where it is and will be able to keep track of the "to dos." It is our hope that the EOY checklist makes the EOY tasks easy to keep up with and manage.

Administrative Professionals Day

April 22 is Administrative Professionals Day. It's a great time to have the students to write a note or make a card for our clerical staff to thank them for all they do behind the scenes to keep Harbins running smoothly. We are so fortunate to have a great team so let's take a moment to give them a pat on the back and let them know THEY MATTER!

Substitute Requests

We are at a critical point with subs and that gets much worse as the year moves into the last 9 weeks. As always, personal leave will not be approved in May except for circumstances such once in a lifetime events like weddings, graduations, etc. Please plan ahead.
