This workshop will provide teachers with in depth information to help understand class differences and the effects of poverty on student learning. Upon returning to their classrooms, teachers will be able to:
- use strategies which will increase achievement for those students who come from poverty,
- meet the needs of under resourced students by identifying key instructional strategies to support and increase their achievement,
- better understand the behaviors and mindsets of students impacted by economic class,
- received information on the hidden rules of economic class and how they apply to the classroom,
- understand how the hidden rules impacts their classroom in student learning
