Coming Up in February
Black History Month
- We will have a special exhibit put together by Mr. Compton's African American Studies Class
- We will feature weekly rotating book displays featuring African American History picture books, African American authors, poetry, etc.
- We will have an online Black History Month Museum Challenge. Answer questions correctly to curate a special exhibition for the National Museum of African American History & Culture. Students who complete the challenge will be entered into a prize drawing at the end of the month

English IV Social Issues Research
English IV classes are hitting all of the library research essentials in their Social Issues Research Project. The librarian has embedded easter eggs within their research guide to provide supplemental library instruction as they complete each week's formative checkpoint! Students will complete an MLA style research essay about their topic and present their research portfolio in the form of a Google Site

The following classes used the library this month:
- English: 40 classes served
- Social Studies: 6 classes served
- Athletics/Health: 4 classes served
- World Language: 3 classes served
- MacUP: 2 classes served
With an average of 25 students per class period, the library saw 1,375 students for class. With an additional 428 students visiting the library with passes and 956 students before/after school, the library saw 2,759 students during January.

BASIC LIBRARY POLICIES
- Passes are NOT required before/after school
- Pink passes are required from 8:50 AM to 4:15 PM
- All students coming to the library with individual passes must sign in at the circulation desk
- Please do not bring food and open drinks into the library
- Electronic devices for educational purposes are welcome in the library but must not disturb other library users
- Students must have their student ID card to check out library materials
- Senior Early Release/Late Arrival Students: Senior early release/late arrival students must sign in at the AP office to get a pass to come use the library during their off period.
