A very important town hall tomorrow!

Tomorrow, April 2nd in the Grant Auditorium. See info under 'Events' below. Everyone should attend this event.'s it going?

On April 12th, our kids will be doing a walk-a-thon for the pledges you are collecting from friends and family online: It will take place at the Assistance League during school hours, from 8:30am-Noon. Our class fundraising goal is $2,500 and we are about half way there. Please support our class by sending your fundraising link to as many people as possible. They can donate right on your child's fundraising page.

Scholastic Book Club Orders Due April 15th

Our class Scholastic page has already earned TWELVE new books for the class. For every order you place, our class will receive a free book. Orders for this month are due on April 15th and books will be delivered in approximately 10 days. Our class activation code is: LZ38M. Visit Scholastic here:

Mystery Readers: five spots open for remainder of school year

From May 9 through the end of the school year, we need five more mystery readers on Thursdays. Arrive by 2:30 to sign in at the front office. Thank you for considering! Please sign up here:

Funds for the classroom

Please send in your classroom funds for the remainder of the year, there are two big events coming up, including a special birthday and teacher appreciation day. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Please give your envelope with funds to Ms. Ruth and she will get them to Tamara, our class treasurer. Thank you!

Teach for Understanding (TfU)

Our kids will be starting a garden in the next few days. This is part of the gardening curriculum that will take place through the remainder of the year.

Golden Goal

This week's golden goal will continue to be: "Working together as a team." Our kids are giving each other gentle reminders and helping each other out.

Our Room Parents

Under the leadership of Ms. Vanessa, our Room Parents are: Christina (Zosia), Laura (Roman), Susan (Colton) and Tamara (Jaffe).

Christina ( helps with: Organizing parent volunteers (i.e. drop off, tutors, clean up, lunches, and mystery reader) and organizing parents nights out and child play dates

Laura ( helps with: Organizing parties for the classroom, translation of the newsletter and co-coordinating field trips

Susan ( helps with: Newsletter, organizing scholastic book orders, and maintaining class wishlist

Tamara ( helps with: Representing our class at Friday Parent Meetings, emailing notes from those meetings to room parents, coordinating Find and Remind, co-coordinating field trips and is our treasurer
