January 2016- Happy New Year!!

21st Century Classroom Initiative begins in the media center!

All media centers received a new Interactive LED Panel before the Winter Holiday. Training for the media specialists took place on January 6 and 7 at ISC. According to the thought bubbles, several media specialists walked away feeling more confident in their ability to lead this initiative in their school. Media Specialists and ETSs will train teachers as the boards are installed in classrooms. This is the first phase of the Instructional Technology department's 21st Century Classroom initiative. The four components evident in every 21st Century Classroom are critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration. The 21st Century Classroom initiative provides students the opportunity to experience learning environments that weave together the 4C's and best instructional practices. As this initiative evolves in your school, please take the opportunity to become a certified 21st Century Instructor. Your ETS will keep you informed about the process. Thank you for being an awesome leader in your school.

As Media Specialists, WE WILL lead the way!
