Every college-bound senior needs to complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you have not completed the FAFSA, The Educational Opportunity Center at Midlands Tech will help you. You do not have to be attending Midlands Tech to use this service.

Paige Erin Marie Widmer Scholarship

This scholarship will go to a Pelion High School student.
Make Your Mark: Coach Mark Gerald Student Leader Scholarship
Amount: $500
Application: Available in the School Counseling Office
To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
● demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community
the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
● demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade
point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
● demonstrate financial need;
● be citizens of the United States of America;
● be current high school seniors attending high school in the United
States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and home
schooled students are also eligible); and
● plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a
bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university or
technical college
● in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.
SCAAA/NIAAA Scholarship
Amount: Varies

Criteria:
1. Applicant must be a Senior
2. Applicant must have achieved at least two (2) of the following: (A) minimum of B+ average; (B) Ranked in the top 25% of class; (C) ACT score of 24 or an SAT score of 1500 (Math, Reading and Writing)
3. Applicant must have participated in two sports for at least two years in each sport
4. Applicant must have earned at least one varsity letter in each of two sports
5. Applicant must complete attached scholar/essay application
6. Applicant must have a letter of recommendation from the high school athletic administrator/director
7. School athletic director must be an NIAAA member and a member of their respective state athletic administrators association
8. The principal or athletic director must sign the application to insure that the academic information submitted is accurate
9. All hard copy materials must be postmarked or electronic materials sent to the NIAAA State Liaison in your respective state by your states deadline. Select your state at the bottom of the website Scholarship Page to view your states deadline and liaison information.
Lexington County Education Association - Retired Scholarship (New)
Amount: $750.00

Eligibility:
1. Must attend a public school in Lexington County
2. Must enroll in a South Carolina college or university
3. Must plan for and pursue a career in education
4. Must have maintained an excellent academic record
5. Must have demonstrated leadership skills

Lexington County Law Enforcement Officers' Associations Scholarship

South Carolina Association for Educational Technology Scholarship

This scholarship was established by The South Carolina Association for Educational Technology. Applicants must be enrolled in and accepted into an NCATE/CAEP accredited teacher education program or library science/media specialist program at a South Carolina college or university. All admission requirements for the teacher education or library science/media specialist program must be completed.
B. Davis Scholarship
Amount: $2,000

Write an essay of less than 1000 words on the following topic:
What are three characteristics of leadership that you value the most? Discuss why you believe these traits are so important and how you feel they are developed in an individual.
This is not an academic scholarship, but they would like to know where you are going to school now (Pelion High School) and what your future academic plans are (where you are going in the fall and what your major will be).
Christian Connector, Inc Scholarship Drawing
Amount: $2,500

The scholarship runs each year from June 1st through May 31st. The drawing winner of each scholarship is selected at random and The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to change the random drawing selection process at any point. Individuals must meet the below guidelines in order to be eligible to receive the scholarship.
Drawing Guidelines:
- The scholarship recipient must have plans to enroll for the first time as a full-time student at a Christ-centered Christian college or Bible college within 16 months of being notified by The Christian Connector, Inc. that he/she has won the drawing.
- The Christian Connector, Inc. reserves the right to make the determination of whether or not a particular school qualifies. Any school that is a member of the CCCU, NACCAP or ABHE automatically qualifies.
- The scholarship recipient may not currently be enrolled at a Christian college or Bible college.
- The scholarship will not be sent to the individual recipient, but rather it will be sent directly to the school of choice, meeting the above criteria.
- An individual cannot enter the scholarship drawing more than once, however, he/she may use the request form and Christian Connector services as often as they wish.
- By completing the information request form, the winner of the scholarship allows their name, city and state to be used on the site and in promotional materials, announcing that he/she is a Christian Connector scholarship recipient.
Should the initial randomly selected individual(s) not meet the above guidelines for the scholarship drawing entered, the scholarship will be forfeited and offered to another individual until a selected individual who meets the above guidelines is awarded the appropriate scholarship.

- Car crashes don't happen by accident. Explain why the word, "accident" is not an accurate description of a motor vehicle collision. Originality is crucial. Creativity is a must. Humor is appreciated if you can implement it without making light of a serious subject.
- Upload the video to Youtube. Make sure you put "Parry & Pfau Scholarship 2018" in the title of the video. Instructions for uploading a video to YouTube can be found here.

- Winner is not based on financial need, but will be selected by Universal Retirement's selection committee based on creativity, humor, and overall quality
- Universal Retirement's advisors, agents, staff and relatives of advisors, agents, and staff may not enter
