Did You Know...?
Each year, the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) releases the annual School Report Card, available to view on the ISBE website: www.illinoisreportcard.com. The Report Card shows district and individual school progress on a wide range of educational goals. One component of the School Report Card is the summative designation – a descriptor of how well our schools are meeting the needs of all students. This designation is based on eight indicators of academic success and school quality. We are proud to share that all Bloomingdale District 13 Schools have earned high designations for overall data for all accountability indicators as well as data for individual student groups. DuJardin Elementary School received the Exemplary designation, which indicates overall performance in the top 10% of all schools. Erickson Elementary School and Westfield Middle School both received the Commendable designation, with overall data indicating no underperforming student groups.
For the first time ever, these designations and academic indicators appear on the School Report Card alongside site-based expenditures – how much money the district spends per student. With these two data points, the District has the opportunity to take a closer look at the relationship between financial investments and student outcomes.
District 13 welcomes this opportunity to dive into our data and talk about additional improvements and investments that can be made to support every student in reaching their goals. Bloomingdale School District 13 is strongest when we all work together as a greater community to achieve these goals.
Forgot Something at School?
