Cowboy Courier

Hello! Courtney shared this video with me and I wanted to pass it along.
I encourage you to watch it from around 3:36- 8:11. We can teach students social-emotional skills as well as empathy/compassion. We can train the brain to be more compassionate. I have truly enjoyed visiting Club CREED classes. We have always talked about building relationships and helping our students become happy, productive adults, but seeing this work in action takes our campus to the next level! So proud!!

I loved our Patriot Day parade!! I am so thankful that we have teachers who value this tradition and put the work into making this happen each year.
As always, thank you for your kindness and attentiveness during faculty meeting. I appreciate the CC team for presenting and helping us learn together. I also want to thank Lisa Cook, David Moore, Miranda Matte, Stephanie Milburn and Rosalyn Govan for presenting to the leadership team. Great info shared by all!
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!
Amber

Mr. Moore,
Hey it’s (a former student) I don’t know if you remember me but I sat with Kaylee and Kylie, and we used to sit at your back table in 8th grade. I just wanted to email you and say hi because after you turned me on to NASA and missions to space I told my parents I wanted to go to NASA. They surprised me today and we went to the Kennedy Space Station in Florida while we were visiting family here. So I just wanted to share some pictures and thank you again for being such a great teacher!!!
Sincerely one of your favorite students,
Gentlemen (CMS Mens Coaches),
See below from this Grandmother who was very reluctant to let her grandson play football but she trusted us to take care of him and now she is 100% all in. I also got a text from Amber today praising our 7th grade football coaches describing pretty much exactly the same thing this parent is describing after watching you guys coach 3 games last night. I know how much is demanded of you and you are exceeding my expectations! That goes for the 8th grade coaches too. 8th grade coaches got a really great compliment from Coach Foster this morning too.
AND we won all 5 games last night! I'm not sure if that has ever happened before. Well done fellas. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.
-Aaron
Good morning Coach Mcneil,
I would like to take this opportunity to let you know some things that I observed at the 7th grade football game. The coaches. They were very professional and if any kiddo messed up out there, you would never know it. The coaches were hands on when they were on the sideline, coached them with class from the sideline. As far as I'm concerned, they rock. Now, this is the big one. When I saw the 7th grade cowboys walk into the stadium, they looked like "BIG GUYS". They represented Cockrill well. They were well behaved, in line, focused, and to see them all together, made this Nana very proud.
Your staff not only talks the talk, but they also walk the walk. Now I'm not so grumpy at 6:30 in the morning, because of what I saw last night. I don't know but a few things about football, but now I'm ready to learn as much as I can.
Getting a beat down by the heat was all worth it. I hope that the boys made all of you proud, but I'm sure that there is more to learn, and they will get it because of you guys.
I have noticed a positive change in my grandson so thank you all for being that positive role model. I hope that he gets better and better, and soaks in all that he can learn from you guys and hopefully become an over all good young man.
These are things that went through my head so there is no format. Can't wait until the next game.
From the most precious Grandma ever!
