What are we learning?
Math: Name of the coins, understanding the value of a penny, nickel, dime & quarter, comparing the value of each of the coins, how many pennies to equal a nickel, dime & quarter, & collecting and sorting objects by their attributes, problem solving and using various ways to organize data
Humanities: Good Citizens make good choices with their money, distinguish between wants & needs, expository/How To/short letter writing that put ideas in a chronological or logical sequence, verbs in the past, present and future tense
Science: Observing/sorting animals into groups based on physical characteristics, investigating how external characteristics of an animal are related to where it lives, how it moves, and what it eats
App of the Week
Students can use their iPad to use this edition of the old fashioned magnetic board letters. It is great for kids to use for practicing their in-a-snap words and their weekly spelling word list. It is a great way to to stimulate their imagination and creativity.
