Pastoral Formation Monthly Update
What's Buzzin' in Pastoral Formation?
In this monthly update of Pastoral Formation, I am including resources on the Holy Season of Lent that you may find helpful in your spiritual formation. There are so many wonderful resources we can avail ourselves to for our growth and developing a mature faith…it just requires that first step or movement of the Spirit. I pray you find the time to draw closer to the Lord by walking that same path he walked so that on Easter morn you truly can say “Alleluia, He has risen!”
Also, I am listing the remainder of our Formation for Mission and Ministry Year III schedule. Please pay particular attention to the make-up days offered for all three years: I, II and III. Years one and two will be offered on one day from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; and, year three will be offered from 8:30 to 12:30 pm. I am offering these days both in Charleston and Columbia. I will do the make-up days as long as there are at least ten participants. I know there are many new employees in the diocese; therefore, I especially ask our parish managers to share these dates and recommend their staff attend the make-ups. Please send all registrations to Cathy Roche at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cathy can also help you if you are not sure which years you have attended. Just e-mail or call her at 843.261.0504.
Wishing you a Blessed Lent,
Sister Kathy Adamski, OSF

Sister Kathy also belongs to Spiritual Directors International in order to keep abreast of the multifaceted perspectives of spiritual direction, as well as making connections with professionals in the field.
For a complete list of spiritual directors in our diocese please check our departmental website: https://sccatholic.org/spiritual-directors-south-carolina. Most directors ask for a nominal fee to help defray the cost of their education and often on a sliding scale. For the most part, spiritual directions occurs once a month.
NALM 2018 Conference May 30 - June 2 "Walk With Christ"
NALM members will come together in Chicago this year to celebrate this collaborative conference with the NCCL, NALM, and FCH (Federation for Catechesis with Hispanics). Apart from the opportunity for prayer, rejuvenation, and formation, our gathering will provide us with the best opportunity to connect as catechetical professionals. You’ll come away with confidence in leadership, a broader and deeper network, and fresh ideas ready to use in your own faith community.
