A Message from Proud Principal, Laura Clark
As the temperatures begin to drop we are reminded that another season will soon be approaching. November brings us a season of gratitude for the blessings in our lives. We will be celebrating as a school family this upcoming week as we come together for our Thanksgiving Luncheon. We have so much to be thankful for here at Parsons Elementary.
The State Department of Education has released this year's College and Career Readiness Performance Index report. CCRPI is the state's comprehensive school improvement, accountability, and communication platform that promotes college and career readiness for all Georgia public school students. We are excited to celebrate that Parsons' overall score increased this year from 88.9 to 90.6. Two BIG points of PRIDE for our school is our overall content mastery score of 98.4 and a 'Closing the Gap' score of 92.2 which was an increase of 18.8% from 2019. Be sure to check out these highlights below.
Be sure to make plans for Parsons' B-I-N-G-O night on Thursday. Bring the family for pizza, fellowship, and BINGO fun.
Have a great weekend making memories with your family.
Proud to be your Principal,
Mrs. Clark
Thanksgiving Luncheon: Update
New! RBES Parent Survey in Parent Portal
Yes, this is the second parent survey this year. This survey is very important and we need you!
Great things are happening at Parsons. This survey gives us the opportunity to show our Parsons Pride and share our perception of all the wonderful things our school community is doing for our students. Our school success is evidence of the power collaboration among stakeholders...because we ALL work together, Parsons' students are 'Achieving and Believing'!
Each year, GCPS gives parents the opportunity to complete a survey about their child's school. This survey is available through the parent portal. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by November 22, 2019. The results are utilized as part of our school evaluation at the county level and we appreciate your input. If you do not have access to the parent portal, you can come to the school and complete the survey by picking up a paper copy in the front office. Thank you in advance for completing this important task. Please visit the parent portal to begin the survey.
