Summer Community Service Project

Looking for community service over the summer? The Tamanend Wellness committee needs your help! We planted a beautiful garden, but we need help maintaining it over the summer. Please consider helping out by signing up to water, weed, and harvest the garden. Any vegetables or flowers that are ripe and ready to pick are yours for your efforts. Or, you can drop the vegetables off at the New Britain Food Pantry. There are many dates to select from, so come when you are available.

Check out the Sign Up Genius below.

Summer Reading

All middle school students in our district are expected to do a significant amount of reading throughout the entire year. The state standard recommends twenty-five books per year! Over the summer, all students entering grades seven, eight, and nine must read at least two books. When students begin the new school year, they will be required to complete an activity related to one of the two required books. Students should make sure they have completed the reading of the two books before returning to school.

Lost and Found

We have gathered all the lost and forgotten items. If you are missing clothes, shoes, coats, glasses, or a phone from the school year, please visit Tamanend's Main Office Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.. All items not claimed will be donated during the summer.

Tiger's Eye

"If we look at each other and each situation through the lens of the Tiger's Eye, we will remember that we are Tamanend Together."
