PARENT NEWSLETTER - April 2022
Hello Montessori Parents:
Happy Spring!πΊππΈ
I never really know what to write in the newsletter and so I decided to ask parents at our most recent PAB meeting - "What do parents want to see in the monthly newsletters?" Their answers were a bit of a relief!! They said they just want to see pictures of the kids and know what's coming up! Well, that's super easy:)
There were a couple other questions that came up:
Q: Can I eat breakfast or lunch with my student?
A: Yes, you are welcome to eat with your child, we have additional seating in the hallway. Please call ahead if you are planning on eating a school lunch, otherwise you are welcome to bring something.
Q: Can I volunteer in my child's classroom?
A: You can certainly ask the teacher if volunteers are needed - the goal is to be helpful, not a distraction. Also - this form must be filled out and approved by CO before you can volunteer at school.
So, enjoy the pictures and have a really great April:)
Educationally,
Mrs. Hausmann

It's Testing Season Again!
Make sure your child gets an ample, normal amount of sleep the night before the test
Mark testing days on your calendar to help remind you and your child when the testing will take place.
The student should eat a nutritious and filling breakfast. Avoid high sugar cereals which can make the student hyper and/or unfocused.
Make sure the student is on time on the day of testing.
Set a backup alarm to avoid the possibility of oversleeping.
If your child is sick please contact the school immediately.
What is PBIS?
At Montessori, we strive to create a positive partnership with families and communicate the supports we have in place. Behavioral health and academic success connect to learning inside and outside of school. Through this partnership, a positive impact can be seen in academic and behavioral growth. A few ways we enhance this important partnership between school and home include talking about the importance of learning with your child, praising their efforts, and recognizing improvements both academically and behaviorally.
