- Donate funds to Packed with Pride (PWP) and the Foundation for the Tigard-Tualatin School District

The Tigard-Tualatin School district prioritizes student, staff and community safety every day.
TTSD schools conduct emergency drills throughout the year to be prepared for emergency situations, such as fire, earthquake and lockdown drills. These drills are conducted periodically throughout the school year and mandated by the State of Oregon. Fire drills are once a month, earthquake drill one a year, Secure drill once a year, and Lockdown drills twice a year.
In response to internal or external threats, the District follows the following Standard Response Protocol of five specific actions developed by the “I Love You Guys” Foundation:
- Hold: In your room or area. Clear the halls.
- Secure: Get inside. Lock outside doors.
- Lockdown: Locks, lights, out of sight.
- Evacuate: To the announced location.
- Shelter: Using the announced hazard and strategy.
Tigard High School recently experienced a "Secure” in response to a reported threat. Working in partnership with on site School Resource Officers and the local Police Departments, staff work to determine if the threat is legitimate while prioritizing the safety of all students and staff.
At the conclusion of each drill, each school safety team debriefs to discuss what went well and what adjustments need to be made. Additional training for staff and students may occur based on those conversations.
TTSD invested bond dollars to make safety improvements to all TTSD facilities. Some of these updates include:
Secure Vestibules
Updated access control
Updated security camera systems at Tigard High School, Tualatin High School, Hazelbrook Middle School, Bridgeport Elementary, Fowler Middle School District, Bus Barn, and Hibbard.
Additional fencing to secure school properties
Emergency kits for each classroom
We ask parents/guardians to review the Standard Response Protocol handouts and watch the Teen Training Video with your middle and high school student.

Flu Season is Upon Us
Flu Shots Available for Students
Flu season is just around the corner – protect your student from the flu by scheduling their annual flu shot.
- Anyone can get the flu, regardless of age or health, and this season it’s expected to be worse than previous years.
- The best protection against the flu is an annual flu shot, available at NHC Tualatin High School-based Health Center (SBHC).
- Flu shots can be given at the same time as other vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines.
- Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins will be accepted. No one will be turned away for an inability to pay or lack of insurance. All district students are welcome to receive care at the SBHC.
Call (503) 941-3180 to schedule. The Tualatin SBHC is open during normal school hours, 8 am –
4:30 pm with a lunch break from 12:00pm – 12:30pm.
