-Black Thursday: Stock prices were starting to drop. By Thursday, pandemonium had set in causing millions of shares to be traded. By Friday, the market seemed stable.

-Black Monday: Market goes back into a frenzy.

-Black Tuesday: 16 million shares were traded, and billions of dollars were lost. Thousands of investors were wiped out.

Stock Market Crash and The Great Depression

The stock market crash of 1929 did not alone cause the Great Depression. However, it did have a significant part in it. Stock prices continues to drop as the Depression raged on.

Impact on Literature

I believe the stock market crash had a significant effect on literature. It played a part in sending all of America into the Great Depression. Literature took a turn when the Depression rolled around.
