State Seal of Bilingualism-Biliteracy
WHAT IS THE STATE SEAL OF BILINGUALISM- BILITERACY (SSBB)?
The State Seal of Bilingualism-Biliteracy (SSBB) is an award given by a school district or charter school in recognition of students who, by high school graduation, demonstrate proficiency in a language other than English. The SSBB emblem is placed on the graduating senior's diploma of excellence (including a notation on the transcript). It also encourages the pursuing of bilingualism-biliteracy, honoring of skills attained from school, family or community, and can be evidence of skills that are attractive to future employers and college admissions offices.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR GRADUATING 2023 SENIORS!!
The Generation Google Scholarship
Deadline: April 1, 2023
The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field.
Award
Selected students will receive $10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or $5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the upcoming school year.
The Generation Google Scholarship will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrated leadership, and academic performance.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
- Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university or college in the United States or Canada for the upcoming academic year
- Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Demonstrate financial need
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology

Zia Natural Gas Scholarship
Deadline: April 15, 2023
$500 per Semester / $1000 per year for 4 years
Requirements:
- 3.0 GPA Requirement
- U.S. Citizen, NM Resident
- Studying in the field of Engineering, Business, or Science
- Scholarship will continue each semester as long as student maintains a GPA of 3.0 and attends college full time (carrying a minimum of 15 credit hours)

Dolores S. Giron Memorial Scholarship Application
Deadline: April 20, 2023
Scholarship Details:
- Student must have a cumulative high school G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher to apply.
- One student will receive a one-time $3,000.00 scholarship to attend a 4 year university in New Mexico.
Read attached entire application and follow instructions.
Please attach a copy of your transcript to this application and any additional pages from Section 2 and 3 and return completed packet to your Counselor no later than 3 pm on Thursday, April 20, 2023.
Recipient will receive instructions on how to claim their scholarship via a letter.

El Paso Sergeant Majors Association
Deadline: April 30, 2023
Scholarship Grant Competition
The El Paso Sergeants Major Association is currently accepting applications for scholarship grants for the current academic year.
Applicants must be:
- A family member of an active duty or retired enlisted service member, of any U.S. Branch of Service, or the Allied Services, that reside in El Paso County or the immediate surrounding communities.
- A graduating high school senior with a "B" average or above G.P.A.

NMAA Foundation Scholarship Application Portal
Deadlines: Each Scholarship Varies
The NMAA Foundation has distributed over $400,000 in scholarships to 300+ students since its inception in 2007. During the 2021-2022 school year, and due to the challenges brought forth by the COVID-19 pandemic, the NMAA Foundation awarded an additional $16,000 in “Together We Rise” scholarships. In total, $41,500 was given to 37 New Mexico Students. The Foundation Board of Directors has decided to continue the Together We Rise program in 2022-2023, and a minimum of ten (10) additional $1,000 scholarships will be distributed in an effort to support even more kids during these difficult times. Scholarships will be awarded to individuals through many different categories.

Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program
High School Seniors
The Association offers several scholarship programs that either require an applicant to pursue a specific degree or attend a specific university. These specialized programs are funded through the generosity of individual Horatio Alger Members. Please scroll down to see if any of these programs line up with your choices.
The following criteria applies to all programs below:
- High school senior
- Critical financial need ($55,000 or less adjusted gross income per family is required)
- Integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
- United States citizenship

Scholar Dollar$ is the singular application used by students and staff at New Mexico State University for processing, awarding and applying for scholarships.
