In the fall the ojibwe went to marshes lakes and ponds to harvest wild rice they did this by getting in canoes and hiting the grass with stickes into the baskets then the husked the rice by stomping on them with specal mockasins then they let the wind carry away the husks
The children collected berreis and dried them for winter. The men hunted ducks and geese. these were other ways the ojibwe prepared for winter. they anso dried fish for men and women fished
