Safety
Recently, we have heard reports of just a few students trying to cross Laidlaw directly in front of Stoller. Even one student is too many! This is a very dangerous intersection for pedestrians. If your child ever crosses Laidlaw to walk to school or get to a friend's house before/after school, please check to see what route is taken. The crossings at Skycrest and Kaiser are very safe due to our fabulous crossing guards!
Also, Skycrest Parkway is very busy before and after school with traffic from both Jacob Wismer and Stoller. Students should only cross Skycrest at the designated crosswalks. If your child travels through this area, we encourage you to have a conversation about safest routes.
IMMUNIZATIONS: Exclusion Day!
Last Reminder...
Immunizations – Please Read
Exclusion Day – Wednesday, February 21st, 2018.
Your child’s updated immunization status or exemptions must be completed and returned to the school by Tuesday, February 20, 2018. All students with incomplete vaccine records will be excluded from school starting Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
All 7th graders must have received a Tdap booster vaccine within the last couple of years.
Please note, you have already received a letter if your child's immunization records are incomplete. If you have not received a letter, your child's immunizations are up-to-date. Parents can view immunization records in their ParentVue accounts anytime.
You need to complete one of the following actions before February 20th if you received a letter in the mail stating that your child's immunization records are incomplete.
- If your child has received the vaccines, turn in the documentation with the dates to the school Attendance Office.
- If you want a nonmedical exemption for you child, complete the required education regarding immunizations and return the certificate to the Attendance Office. The module can be found at www.healthoregon.org/vaccineexemption
- If your child needs a medical exemption, you must provide documentation to the school. The information needed from the doctor is stated on the Certificate of Immunization Status form.

Emergency Evacuation Buckets
Beaverton School District has provided all classrooms with a bright orange bucket containing emergency supplies. Teachers and students carry these buckets outside during each building evacuation drill. In the event of an actual earthquake or extended emergency, we would like to have tarps in these buckets to protect students from the weather. If you would like to donate to this effort, please contact Mariah McCarty.
