Let's get creative!!! What ways can you celebrate the 100th Day of School?! Is it a crazy t-shirt with 100 googly eyes?! ORRR are you going to set a goal of saying 100 nice things throughout the day?! Completely up to you but let's celebrate!!
"A Love of Literacy" Parmley Family/Curriculum Night
Mark your calendars for our Parmley Family/Curriculum Night! Student flyers will come home in the next few weeks with more details of the event!
Our staff works incredibly hard, and we want to give them a boost!
Help us supply the staff lounge with snacks, drinks, and candy. Your contribution makes a big difference and will be very much appreciated! You can donate as much or as little, anything will help!
You may drop off your donations in the front office with Mrs. Timmerman! Please don't forget to take a picture so our staff knows who donated!
Thank you in advance!
Attendance Matters!!
94% Attendance Celebration (February 1-29)
94% attendance is our campus goal. Students who have reached the 94% attendance goal for the month and has had no tardies OR early outs, will be invited to celebrate on March 1 with a POPCORN PARTY!!! These absences CAN be excused or unexcused. We will do this each month for the remainder of the school year!
Perfect Attendance (January 12- May 10)
We will be celebrating our students who were at school 100% of the 2nd semester! Students who will attend this celebration will have no absences, excused or unexcused, as well as no tardies or leave earlies!
Gifted and Talented Testing
If you are interested in having your student Gifted and Talented (GT) tested, please contact Mrs. Findley at kfindley@willisisd.org.
Please keep in mind this is an extremely rigorous assessment. It may be a great idea to talk to your child's teacher to see if they feel as though this is a good option for your student.
Transversa RIDE 360
Willis ISD is happy to announce a new transportation app that will provide you with easy and fast access to your children’s bus route/pickup locations and times. This app will also allow the district to send you updates about early or late buses or other information related to your child’s bus. The app is a button on the district mobile app and set up to link your students is fast and easy.

Student Birthdays
Birthdays
At Parmley, we love to acknowledge our students’ birthdays and provide them a celebration from the staff. We know that your child’s special day is important, and we ask that if you choose to send something, that it only be a prepackaged, store-bought treat that your student can carry and take to class and can be sent home with their peers in their backpacks at the end of the day. We are not doing cupcake delivery or any special decorations such as balloons or gifts. Please do not send cookies or cupcakes that will be crushed in backpacks when sent home.
Dress Code and Appropriate Conduct for Families
Please take a moment to review our dress code and code of conduct for all families who attend events, functions, or visit the campus:
We have the same expectations for families as we do kids.
- Clothing should be appropriate length and cover midriff areas as kids are expected to.
- Clothing should not contain any explicit words or graphics.
- Smoking and/or use of tobacco products on campus or on the school property is prohibited.
- Cussing on campus or on school property is prohibited.
- When on campus, please do not take the decorations or items that may seem unused or still in a package on desks or bookshelves. Please only do the activities set up for students.
- All food and snacks must stay in the cafeteria.
Anyone who is in violation of any of the above will be asked to leave the premises. You can return once you've changed clothing. Smoking and/or use of tobacco products such as vapes or chew on property more than once can be grounds for permanent removal from campus.

We appreciate your attention to this matter.
Thank you!

Meetings with Admin
We know that your number 1 concern is your student, and we want to take all of your concerns very seriously, but we also want to be able to give you the time you need and be able to direct you to the right person who can answer your questions or concerns. We are asking that all parents who wish to visit with us without an appointment complete the Google Form at the front office or fill out the form on paper. Ms. Timmerman will give it to Ms. Gregory who will either set up an appointment at that time or find us if it is an emergency. We do ask for context for Ms. Gregory to set up the meeting.
To schedule an appointment with me, click HERE.
Thank you so much for your attention to this!
Sincerely,
Allie Wilkins
PES Attendance Process
Our mission at PES is that we ensure every student will learn at high levels!
To do this, we need your help in ensuring your child is at school!
Research shows that attendance in school will benefit students in these areas:
- Improved reading skills
- Improved grades
- Feeling more connected to the community
- Developing strong social skills and friendships
- Decrease the risk of drop out
WISD Attendance Procedures:
3 absences: Letter & a phone call home
5 absences: Letter and Attendance Contract meeting with parent, Ms. Williams and the Juvenile Case Manager for Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Court to talk about how we can support you and your student
10+ absences: Possible Grade Retention and filing for parent contributing to non-attendance.
**If your child is out, be sure they come back to campus with a doctor's note stating the dates absent. Parent notes will be accepted unless absences become excessive.
Our goal is to help support you and your child! Please let us know if you need anything!

Lunch Routine
As you know, student safety is our #1 priority!
In order to keep all kids safe at all times, we are implementing some new procedures for lunch visitors.
Parents and visitors will need to be escorted to and from the cafeteria.
All visitors will need to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the lunch you are attending.
You will receive a printed badge that must be worn in a visible location the entire visit. The badge must clearly state which lunches you will be staying for.
At the exact start time for lunch, the group of parents will be escorted to the cafeteria.
Once you are in the cafeteria, we are requiring that you stay for its entirety.
At the end of lunch, if your badge states you are only staying for that lunch, you will need to stand by the doors at the exit of the cafeteria leading to the hallway. A teacher or para on duty will escort all parents back to the front lobby to sign out with Ms. Timmerman.
If you are staying for more than one lunch, please remain at the visitor tables on the back. Parents will not be allowed in the main part of the building without an escort.
**On another note, if you are an approved volunteer for our campus, you will be able to move through the building without an escort because the background check has been completed. However, this will not apply for lunch visits. It will only apply if you are volunteering for the day or event.
Volunteer Application
Please complete the volunteer application. This must be done EVERY year, so even if you did it last year, you will need to do it again this year!
Please consider your options of volunteering for events and attending field trips. To participate, you will need to submit a volunteer application!
