HEROES!
Dear Staff,
Congratulations on a wonderful opening. Thank you for everything you put into the first two days of school. There were welcoming letters on students’ desks, playdough exploration activities (TLAP), team building activities in classrooms, guided tours throughout the school, positive words of encouragement abounded. Thank you for assisting with over 200 new students (fourth grade, plus new transfers to the community). Thank you for your gentle ways with our students who felt nervous and needed some encouragement.
To our Teachers: You continue to amaze us. Thank you for planning and preparing for this very important week. Your smiles, guidance, and gentle ways eased nervous, yet excited tweens. Your classrooms are bright and organized. You spent time building relationships and rapport with students and introduced new routines. These first few days couldn’t have gone smoother.
To Mrs. Porter and Mrs. Short, you are awesome. Thank you for answering what must have been thousands of questions and inquiries from students, parents, and your PVS family. You are the the heartbeat of our school. You keep us organized, informed, and moving forward and we are grateful.
To General Aides and Lunch Supervision Staff, WOWZA! Thank you for assisting our students with lunchroom procedures and an enjoyable recess time. You anticipate needs and seem to have eyes in the back of your head. Outsiders would have no idea that we are short-handed. You are rockstars - moving and grooving through lunch and recesses; thank you.
To our Interventionists, Special Areas, and Dismissal Staff, thank you for ensuring our students had safe arrivals and departures. It has been smooth and efficient. Thank you for the familiarity you provide for our returning students. How awesome it was to see many hugs, high fives, and handshakes. Your impact reaches the entire student body. Thank you the many ways you pitch in, even when no one is looking. We see you.
To our Maintenance and Custodial Staff, thank you for hands that fix, minds that solve, eyes that see and prevent, ears that listen, and hearts that give. You have gone above and beyond making sure our building is safe, clean, and in tip-top share. You are the best and appreciated.
To our Nurses and Health Office Staff, what a team! Your care for our staff and students and attention to small details mean the world to us. The paperwork and plans you are handling and communicating are done so with impressive efficiency and accuracy. Thank you for your commitment to the health and safety of all our staff and students.
To our Transportation Staff, as the first person our students encounter in the morning, you are very valued and appreciated. Your flexibility and determination to deliver each child to school safely and return them home timely is unmatched. We are grateful for all you do.
To the Admin Team, thank you for your guidance, organization, advice, and leadership as we have worked to open the school district. Your commitment to ensuring we are doing all we can to provide supportive and successful environments and experiences is unparalled.
To our entire PVS family - HAVE A WONDERFUL, RELAXING WEEKEND! YOU DESERVE IT!
Jen and Christine
