He is a Hero in war
1st Reason
He was certainly a war hero, from the American Revolution to the War of 1812, culminating in his greatest victory, at New Orleans, weeks after the latter conflict was had ended.
2nd Reason
He was the first president to rise from a low social position to the White House by popular demand, and a flinty cuss who was never averse to defend his or his wife's honor in a duel—as well as personally beating the tar out of the man who made history's first presidential assassination attempt.
3rd Reason
The Cherokee Nation would actually take their fight to the Federal Court in an attempt keep their lands and in Worcester v Georgia The Supreme Court ruled against the relocation. Of the ruling Jackson would reputedly say “John Marshall (the chief justice at the time) has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”.

Andrew Jackson was a strong president who used the office to forcefully pursue his agenda. Many political opponents, fearing Jackson's use of power, called him "King Andrew."
