Howdy Hounds!
This week our third and fourth grade students went on their field trips. Thank you FOH for sponsoring these events for our Hounds! Lots of fun memories were made!
We will be celebrating School Librarian's Week Monday-Friday. Please help us show Ms. Jurkowski the love! Check out the information below in regards to our Spring Book Fair that will be taking place.
Our fourth graders will be presenting their musical "It's a Hit" on Tuesday, April 5th at 6:00pm in the Huggins Gym. If fourth grade parents would like to attend the daytime performance at 9:00am on Tuesday as well, please be sure to RSVP using this link: https://forms.gle/ecp1H5VUuCnCF6sv7 The book fair will also be opened on Tuesday evening for families to make purchases.
Have you purchased your tickets to the Huggins Gala? Make sure your calendars are marked for Saturday, April 9th from 6:00pm-10:30pm at Dozier's BBQ. Tickets can be purchased at friendsofhuggins.org. We look forward to seeing you there!
As a reminder, our doors open at 7:00am each day. Students arriving after 7:30am are counted tardy. We are seeing an increase in the number of tardy students arriving by car in the morning. It is important that our students are in their classrooms by 7:30am to start their school day. Fortunantly , our car line is running on time. We typically see a lull in our line from 7:15-7:25. Pleasee help us maximize instructional time for our hounds by ensuring a timely arrival.
We hope you have a beautiful weekend!
Sincerely,
Bethany Cunningham
Principal

School Meals...
Lamar CISD has announced its participation in the Seamless Summer Option for the 2021-2022 school year, offering healthy meals every school day to all students at no cost.
Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.
While no application or eligibility determination is required for our students to receive free meals this school year, income eligibility requirements will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year.
Extra lunch entrees and a la carte items are not included with the no cost meals.
