Passwords

Having a secure password to all of your accounts, online or off, is vital! By following these steps, you'll have safe and secure accounts:

- Have a password that is tricky to guess but easy to remember. Perhaps have a few numbers and symbols with letters in your password. Or something that means something to you, but no-one else.

- Try and vary your passwords, and have a different password for each account you have.

- Make sure, when you type in your password, no-one can see what you are typing in.

- Most importantly, tell no-one your password! No matter who they are, or what they want it for.

Wireless

I'm sure most people have Wi-Fi in thier house, but not everyone's Wi-Fi is secure, If your Wi-Fi is not secure, someone could go on your W-iFi, steal your internet and even go through your history and find your personal details, or even hack your online accounts!

There is an option to put a password on your Wi-Fi, so if you want a secure and safe wireless network - Password secure it!

Anti virus

An anti virus software on your computer or laptop is vital if you want to surf the net safely! They vary in price but can be fairly cheap, depending on thier level of security. Investing in an anti virus software on your computer will be worth the money, because it could save your computer from recieving a nasty virus. Bluetooth

On most phones there is bluetooth, which allows you to send and recieve files. With file sharing, there is always a risk. Viruses can be passed through the bluetooth phone connection, which may not halm your phone, but if you decide to plug it into your computer, the virus could transfer! To avoid un-wanted viruses, keep your bluetooth turned off when you are not using it.
