Inertia
an object will keep moving unless an unbalanced force acts on it. If she happened to crash into a huge semi, she would probably get seriously injured or even die, but her seatbelt would stop her from getting even more hurt.
Newton's law of universal gravitation
everything exerts gravitational force. Gravity is the force thet pulls you towards the center of the earth. You are sitting at your computor right now because of this law.
Momentum
mass+speed=momentum. The more something weighs, the more momentum it has. The baseball in this picture has more momentum than a basketball because it weighs more.
Weightlessness
when you can not weigh yourself, you feel weightlessness. These astronauts feel weightlessness because they cannot detect their weight.
Newton's First law of motion
an object resting will remain resting and an object in motion will remain in motion untill an unbalanced force acts on it.
Newton's Second law of motion
acceleration is based on how much matter an object has and how fast it is going.
Newtons Third law of motion
when you do an action, there is always something that acts as a reaction. The bullet coming out of the gun is an action and the gun jerking back is the reaction.
