Alkali Metals are the first group in the periodic table. All alkali metals have one proton in their outer ring. They are desperately trying to get rid of it. They all react in water. The Elements in this group are lithium sodium potassium rubidium cesium and francium.
Group 1 - The Alkali Metals
Alkaline Earth Metals
Alkaline Earth Metals are the second group in the periodic table which means they have 2 outer protons. They also have a positive 2 oxidation number, wich means they're super reactive. the alkaline earth metals are beryllium,Magnesium, Calcium, strintium, Barium, and Radium.

Halogens are the 7th group and have very low melting and boiling points. This includes Fluorine, Chlorine, Bromine, and Iodine.
Group 7 - The Halogens
Noble gases are the 8th group in the periodic table.they are all odorless, colorless, monatomic gases with very low chemical reactivity. This Group includes Helium, Neon, Argon, Krypto, Xenon, and Radon
