Weekly Staying Connected, Edition 15, October 31
Major's Moment
Although we wanted to outreach to the community during this time with a Harvest Festival or Trunk or Treat, it was discussed in the corps (church) council that we should forgo this year and build momentum for next year. We believe that this year should focus on growing and strengthening what is already here as we push to "move beyond the screen" and get back to meeting together.
Will you help spread the word? As you leave church today, we've prepared bags for your household complete with church postcards and candy to pass out to trick or treaters as they come to your homes. We hope you'll use them as a simple way to invite others to your church home. We want to grow this family and our capacity to outreach individually.

WRAP Campaign
Did you know that The Salvation Army has an International Position Statement on Pornography? And has also created a Study Guide on the subject matter? The Salvation Army’s White Ribbon Against Pornography (W.R.A.P.) week will be taking place October 31 – November 6, 2021 and is dedicated to spreading awareness on how pornography affects the brain, heart, and world. Here are some resources. Let's wear our white ribbons this week to raise awareness of this dangerous material as well as a remember to keep our hearts and minds holy.

Calling all church volunteers .....
2) Church - we'd love if you and your family can volunteer at the kettle stands again this year. If you could commit to at least once a week, it'll make a HUGE difference! We're trying to keep the tradition and keep our kettle sites all volunteer run. Can you help?
3) Can your school club help volunteer? Can your sports team ring the bell? Can your work get a group together? Will you help us ask your areas of influence?
