Supporting Scholars in CFISD

Big picture
Please join our staff in supporting scholarships for CFISD students. This is the TENTH anniversary of the Superintendent's Fun Run. When you register, be sure to include that you are affiliated with Robison Elementary!

We currently have 22 staff members and 4 students (Isabella Mugavero, Nicholas Mugavero, Kaylie Mugavero, and Sadie Mugavero) who are registered.

Even if fun runs aren't your thing, there's an option for a "sleep-in" pass ($10) or a flat donation. There are also t-shirts available for purchase.

We'll continue to send out updates on our registration status. If you have registered and do not see your name, it is possible that you registered after the date the list was sent. I will get a weekly print-out and will keep everyone posted. Let's show our spirit for this amazing program!

Student Lanyards

Each student received two photo ID badges at the beginning of the school year at no cost. The badges and the unique student number are used to account for students utilizing transportation services, checking out library books and textbooks, purchasing food items from the cafeteria, and providing a means for easy identification of students in common areas of the school. One of the badges is attached to the student’s backpack and is required to be utilized when riding the bus, as well as when purchasing breakfast. The second ID remains at the campus. This badge is on a lanyard and is worn during school hours. Students must have the ID badge in their possession each day and follow campus procedures related to wearing the ID badge. If a student loses the ID, a replacement must be promptly purchased.

The replacement cost for the ID is $3.00.

If your child has misplaced or lost their badge, they need to purchase a new one. Students without a badge (the one with the lanyard) who need to buy items in the cafeteria are sent to the end of the line because of the time it takes to process them checking out. Our cafeteria staff has to put in the student's name manually.

If your child needs either ID replaced, please complete the form below. You may send $3.00 cash, along with the form.

Student Arrival Time

Instruction begins at 8:45 am every day. We have many students who are arriving just before or even a little after this time. We want all of our students to start their day successfully, and arriving to class on time is one of the best ways to do this! If your child is a car rider, please drop your child off by 8:40 am so they will be able to arrive in time for the start of instruction. If they need to get breakfast, please arrive no later than 8:35 am.

The doors will be closed promptly at 8:45 am. Students arriving after 8:45 am must be brought to the front doors.

Thank you for doing your best to make sure your student is ready to learn at 8:45 am!

Student Council

We are selling suckers to replenish the science closet. We will sell from Feb 6-14 and they are $1 each.
Thank you!

On Valentine's Day, February 14, our students will have the opportunity to exchange valentines. Your child's teacher will let you know the number of students in their class. If you choose to participate, your child should bring a valentine for each of the students in their class. There is no need to write names on the valentines. We have provided bags for each student, which they will decorate at school. At the end of the day on February 14, all students will have a "students only" class party where they will receive a cookie and will be able to open their valentines. Valentine's cards may include a piece of candy, but it is not necessary.

Student Birthdays

Student birthdays are recognized on our daily announcement slides.

If you'd like to have your child's birthday celebrated at school, we offer parents the opportunity to purchase ice cream ($1.00) or cookies ($.50) from the cafeteria to be distributed to their child's class during lunch. In order for our cafeteria to prepare for this, you must give at least one week's notice. You may email michelle.mendiola@cfisd.net if you are interested.

We are unable to allow students to hand out birthday invitations at school, or to hand out birthday treats in the classrooms.
