Go Red Day

National Go Red Day acknowledges the importance of heart health for all. According to statistics, 1 out of 3 women are debilitated by heart disease. As a staff and community we wear red to remind us of the importance of taking care of our heart. We encourage parents and students to do the same. We will talk about the importance of exercise, good eating habits and visiting the doctor for annual checkups.

Elementary Extended School Day Option Pilot: March, 2016

Mulberry students are being offered the opportunity to extend their daily schedule to run from 8:00-3:45. We are piloting a schedule that will concentrate daily enrichment classes to the 8:15-8:45 and 3:00-3:30 time slots. This will allow for uninterrupted academic time throughout the main part of each day. Please let us know if you would like to take advantage of this opportunity.

We are hoping that this will be a success and we can offer this schedule in the 2016-17 school year.

Step Up to Elementary Visits

Kindergartners will visit the Mulberry classroom to learn more about the exciting activities and awesome learning opportunities that await them in 1st grade. Mrs. Huq will spend time working with small groups and individual students and current Mulberry students will buddy with a kindergartner.

Future Kindergartner Day

Future kindergartners will have the opportunity to spend the day as a kindergartner. They will have a marble notebook, get homework for the evening and participate in a special kindergartner event. More information will be sent out before the day scheduled for mid-March.
