CVES April News @CVESWARRIORS
"It's a Great Day to Be a Warrior!"
YOUNG AUTHORS' DAY WAS AMAZING!
Note from Principal Cole
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The mission of Alabaster City Schools is to partner with families and the community to inspire and prepare graduates to be responsible and productive champions of their future.
Thank you for your support of our March school-wide events. Our families pledged over $25,000 for the FUN RUN Proceeds will go towards playground equipment and general expenses. Since we met our goal of $25,000, I gladly kissed a pig. There are pictures of that moment embedded in the newsletter. Pledges are due this week. We will provide updates of the funds we receive. A huge thank you to Coach Mohon, Coach Hamm, Coach Wyatt, teachers, parent volunteers, and the THS track team for all of your help with FUN RUN.
CVES Young Authors shared their writing and illustrations on March 23rd and 24th with other classes and parents. They did an outstanding job being respectful and demonstrating leadership. First Grade students enjoyed Alabama Day on March 24th. They learned about Helen Keller, Oak Mountain State Park, Mardi Gras, Talledega, Space and Rocket Center, and George Washington Carver.
