Dear Tashua Families,
I know you are as thrilled as I am to be welcoming the first day of spring tomorrow! It will be so enjoyable to have our days getting a little longer and hopefully warmer!
I have more exciting news to share this week, in addition to our students gaining access to the cafeteria, they will also be visiting our library on a rotating basis to take out books. Mrs. McKenna and our students will be thrilled to be back together in the Learning Commons.
Next Friday, March 26th, our PTA will be sponsoring a VIRTUAL Bingo event. Bingo will start at 7:00 PM. Pizza and snack packs can be preordered by Tuesday, March 23rd. To register and PAY please see the link below for the membership toolkit:

Further, the Trumbull PTSA Council is sponsoring a virtual visit from children’s author Josh Funk on Thursday April 29th. Families may purchase books in advance of the visit and the author will sign the books to individual students. Orders must be placed by Monday March 29th. I would like to thank all of you for working with us to ensure the health and safety of our students during this pandemic. Although our upcoming days are filled with great promise, we still need to continue to follow the COVID-19 migration strategies of social distancing, mask wearing and washing hands, including after school hours and weekends. Further, to continue to ensure the safety of all, students who are not feeling well are strongly encouraged to stay home for the day and rest so they will hopefully feel better the next day. As always, students who are not feeling well, should not be attending school.

Access to remote learning continues to be reserved for COVID-19 related issues.
Please be reminded that there is no school for students on Monday, March 22nd. This will be a professional development day for teachers. Further, starting Wednesday, March 24, students will be returning to in-person learning 5 days a week. Wednesdays will continue to be early release days with the students being dismissed at 1:00 PM. Lunch will not be served on these early release days, however it will be offered as a "Grab and Go" option. Students will pack their lunches in their backpacks and bring them home to enjoy. Again, we are encouraging all students to order breakfast and lunch each day.
If you are driving your child to and from school, please be mindful not to block the driveways of our neighbors while you are waiting in the drop-off/pick-up line.
Again, we thank you for your continued support and partnership in ensuring the success and happiness of our students. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, suggestions or good news to share.

Breakfast and Lunch: Reminder ALL children are eligible for breakfast and lunch. Food Services has three PICKUP Days per week (Monday, Wednesday & Fridays). Friday PICK UP includes Saturday and Sunday meals. You may drive around to the back of the school between the hours of 9:30-11:00 AM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to pick-up meals. Please take advantage of receiving these meals. In doing so, you are actually helping our district. Please know, for your convenience, Tashua families are allowed to pick up and distribute meals for other TPS students!
