Week 2 Activities
Grand Avenue MS Schoolwide Community Read
Dear Readers,
Welcome to Week 2 of our Schoolwide Community Read Project! Hopefully by now you have figured out how to get your own copy of Refugee. If you don't have it yet, that's OK. A link below will take you to audio files recorded by the GAMS faculty and staff, and we've posted links for you to borrow or purchase your own copy of the book.
Listen to Chapter 1 (Josef's story) Now!
Shout out to Ms. Beleckas for recording Chapter 1 to get us started!
Building Background for Isabel's Story
Visit our EdPuzzle page to watch a video about the experience of one Cuban rafter and answer two questions.
CHECK BACK LATER THIS WEEK FOR MORE INFORMATION!
We'll announce updates to this page via Instagram (@grandavehumanities), but you can also check back here periodically. Next up: building background for Mahmoud's story and recordings of Chapters 2 and 3. Have fun!
